This wide spread approach is being used as we grow the software and the underlying advertisement network to a respectable size.  Future versions of SmilieWorX, however, will bring demographically specific groups to the marketing table.

This wide range method of advertising does have it's advantages.  First, it provides a very affordable method of reaching the majority of Internet users who are other than newbie computer users.  Experienced users are easier to market to on line, as they have overcome the fears associated with doing business over the Internet.  

SmilieWorX advertisers have full access to stats, including daily, weekly, monthly and annual impressions and click throughs.  In addition, weekly reports are optionally emailed to the advertiser and also downloadable as a CSV file from their membership stats panel, so that they may track the effectiveness of their ad in real time.

Each "block" of banner space is a "Campaign".  Each Campaign may contain as many banners as the advertiser wishes (up to 6), however since the rotation is Campaign based, more banners means that each one of the banners in a given campaign, share the same slot, being displayed less frequently than if it were the only banner in the Campaign.  Each banner may also point to different URL's if that is what is called for.  Each banner in a Campaign will carry it's own unique stats, thus furthering the usefulness of the information provided

Banners may be hosted on our server or yours.  If they are hosted on our servers, the banner is permanent throughout the term of the Campaign.  If the user wishes to have the ability to change the banner on the fly, they may host it on their server , and as long as revisions and updates maintain the same filename name and size [banners must conform to the 468x60 standard size] they will be updated in real time.

Banners rotate in our software each time the software is brought from a minimized state to full size.  Therefore, no "impressions" are lost to blind eyes.  The currently displayed banner remains displayed until the software is once again minimized, so no desired ads are lost to the rotation.

Our "General Audience" ad campaign's are priced as follows.  For the first six months (while our network is growing) we are offering greatly reduced prices, which are term based (based on time) rather than impression based (number of ad displays).  On 12/1/03 our prices will be adjusted to reflect the actual traffic numbers, however all contracts we have at the time will be honored until their expiration.  The below fees are for each Campaign slot.  While we don't charge additionally for more than one banner (up to 6) per Campaign, the desired number of banners must be configured at setup and can not be changed for the term of the Campaign.
